EEM Travels Abroad to Share Stories from the Front Lines in Season 2 of '5511 Podcast’

Inspiring Interviews Remind Listeners that God’s Word is Powerful and He is Faithful

HURST, Texas, May 4, 2023 Eastern European Mission (EEM), a ministry that has steadfastly worked for more than 60 years to supply free Bibles to former Communist bloc countries, announces season two of its uplifting “5511 Podcast,” streaming now via Apple, Spotify and Google.

Hosted by EEM team members Dirk Smith and Brooke Kehl, the “5511 Podcast” shares stories of God’s power being poured out globally through the lives of ordinary people. With new episodes releasing on the first Tuesday of every month, each story is a living example of Isaiah 55:11, which declares that God's Word never returns without having fulfilled its purpose.

Season 2 will feature a few exciting changes to the podcast, including the addition of a video format available on EEM's YouTube channel, a new episode rhythm, and some very special plans abroad.

“As we dive into season two of the ‘5511 Podcast,’ we’re excited to introduce our listeners to some of EEM’s dedicated team members and international partners who are serving on the front lines of the ministry,” said Dirk Smith, Vice President of EEM. “We’ll travel overseas to touch base with members of our European team, asking questions about their walk with Jesus and hearing about the remarkable ways God is using people to share His Word across the globe."

Guests appearing on season two of the 5511 Podcast will include:

  • Jura Lazar, EEM's Regional Director for Central Europe

  • Scott Hayes, EEM's Publishing Director

  • Bart Rybinski, EEM’s Vice President of European Operations

  • Johnathan Macris, President of Hellenic Ministries in Greece

  • Matt Gulley, Director of Diaspora Pathways, ministering to Afghan refugees in Greece.
